More about a lifestyle session at your own home
A lifestyle session is perfect if you don't want to travel with your newborn, during pregnancy or just want cosy family photos at your home. In your own environment photos will be more personal and emotional.
For lifestyle sessions, I'm using just natural light-window light. I'm trying to make the session as relaxed as possible, you need to pay all attention to your family, but not to the camera. For the lifestyle session, I'm bringing just my camera and using your own blankets for the newborn session ( I can bring few wraps if requested)
I often use the sofa, master bedroom, and nursery for photos. I know what it’s like to have a newborn. Please don’t feel like you have to clean the house before I arrive. We can easily clean up an area that we want to use for photos while I’m there. All you need to do to prepare is open the blinds/curtains to let in as much light as possible and have your bed made with a neutral quilt/comforter on top. Your bed makes for a great place for cuddly family photos!
