Hello, I’m Gintare.
I’m the photographer behind G. Silk Photography, based in a cosy studio in Cudworth, Barnsley.
I specialise in capturing motherhood — from maternity to newborn, baby milestones and family moments — in a way that feels calm, natural and timeless.
My journey into photography began when I became a mum.
Like many parents, I quickly realised how fast everything changes — how the tiny details, the little expressions, the quiet moments can pass before you even have time to notice them.
That’s what led me to photography, and it’s what continues to guide the way I work today.
Esperance
Over the past six years, I’ve continued to learn and grow, completing both in-person and online training to refine my approach.
I’ve also trained in newborn photography with The Academy of Newborn Photography, alongside baby safety training, and I am fully insured and DBS checked.
As a mum, I know how important it is to feel that your baby is safe and comfortable.
Newborn sessions are always baby-led and unhurried, allowing time for feeding, settling and simply taking things slowly.
There’s no pressure — just a relaxed space where you can enjoy the experience.

Welcome to my studio, a cosy space based in Cudworth, Barnsley, created with comfort, safety and simplicity in mind.
The studio is styled in soft white tones, giving a clean, light and timeless feel to your photographs while creating a calm environment for your session.
A Private and Relaxed Setting
Located within my back garden, the studio offers a quiet and private setting away from busy surroundings, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy your time here.
There is plenty of free parking available, making your visit easy and stress-free from the moment you arrive.
Inside, you’ll find a warm and welcoming space, with access to a toilet and a small refreshment area where you can enjoy tea or coffee during your session.
Designed with Families in Mind
The studio has been created to feel relaxed and family-friendly.
There is enough space for siblings to move around, play and feel comfortable, helping sessions flow naturally without pressure. I understand that little ones can be unpredictable, and the space is designed to be easy to clean, so you never need to worry about small messes during your visit.
Well-behaved family dogs are also very welcome, so your whole family can be part of your photographs. The studio is carefully deep cleaned after any session involving pets, maintaining a clean and safe environment for every family.
